What a great show from stage to sound! Er'body was in true d'elf groove . So many layers!

I haven't heard the original recording, but yes, the sound is very bright (even on my sometimes overly warm-sounding tube stereo amp) but retains its fullness. As for the show, when did Club d'Elf ever let the side down? Hypnotic and heedless of the stupid, artificial boundaries between "acoustic" and...what, NON-acoustic? Ever heard a non-acoustic sound? But hardly ever was a deconstructionist artistic statement so sweet as this band's sound!
Personal note: I'm sort of from Great Barrington, MA, and until recently Club Helsinki was located there. This is the first I've heard of it relocating!

how it's done
wow, this is how it's done. Both the performance and the recording is outstanding. Thank you to the performers and those that made the recording happen.

above album quality
the complete team of people responsible for this recording should take a moment, and smile. this is truly an incredible presentation of a live Club D'elf experience. should be 6 stars.
